As is the case with most drivers, Coltin Everingham comes from a family that has been involved with the sport long before he was even born. He is a third generation driver, following in the footsteps of his father (Wally “Gator” Everingham) , his grandfather (Bud “the Spud” Tennant) and his poppa (John Roy). His older sister, (Candiss Everingham) was also a driver at Sunset Speedway in the Super Stock division, but has since decided to concentrate on her career.
Given that Coltin had been attending races throughout Ontario with his family all of his life, it was no surprise to them when Coltin decided to try his hand at the sport.
In 2013, his mom (Carolyn) purchased a Super Stock, and at the age of 15, Coltin jumped into the car, and hasn’t looked back. During the winter of 2016, a new car was built by Streamline Race Products.
Coltin’s racing career has garnered him multiple feature wins, seven top 10 finishes (overall points), and two “Best Appearing Car” awards. Coltin also finished 4th in the inaugural Canadian Short Track Nationals held in 2018 at Jukasa Motor Speedway.
Coltin’s goal for 2018 is to win the Championship. With one points night left to go and currently 2nd in points. That dream could become a reality.
